Attending Members: Mike Harnad, Greg Suchy, Joseph Colangelo, Greg Blessing, Al Ference, and Mike Pinatti. John Sahi was also in attendance.
Meeting called to order at 7:06 PM.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
The minutes from the previous WRC meeting were reviewed. Mike Harnad made a motion to accept the minutes without changes, which was seconded by Joseph Colangelo. All members were unanimous in approval.
GENERAL DISCUSSION:
John Sahi reports that we have no sign ups for the Summer Camp.
DIRECTORS REPORT:
John Sahi reported that the BOF would be meeting on June 21st. At that time the Selectmen will decide on a date for a Town Meeting to vote on the CIP funding for the RRAC. It is suggested that all WRC members attend the Town Meeting.
OLD BUSINESS:
No Old Business was reviewed.
NEW BUSINESS:
A. The RRAC project is nearly ready for use with the following items under consideration.
1. The Knights have completed the spreading of wood chips on the hill leading to the train tracks. Additional chips were brought in at no charge. John Sahi is reviewing the original contract, and work done to date to see if a credit of $1,700.00 is due to the WRC from Knight Construction.
2. The fencing contractor (Kent Fence), compromised a drain pipe during construction
of the wooden fence at the parking area. The drain has been repaired and covered.
3. All of the 20’ and 5’ fence posts at the rear of the RRAC have been installed. We are waiting for the chain link and netting to be installed, as well as signage, to allow for use of the RRAC by the general public.
4. Al Ference is in charge of the sub committee that is overseeing the install of the signs in the RRAC parking area. He informs the WRC that the signs are ordered per John Sahi’s specifications.
B. Mike Pinatti suggested requesting funding in the form of a donation from the Stafford Savings Bank, towards work to be done at the RRAC. This donation would be reflected in a sign or plaque recognizing the donation.
ADJOURNMENT:
Joseph Colangelo motioned to adjourn, which was seconded by Mike Harnad. The meeting adjourned at 7:53PM. The next meeting is scheduled for June 26th, 2007 at 7:00PM at the Town Hall Office Building.
Respectfully submitted 5/24/07
